Of course, we are not extremely surprised by the top answer to the second question above. Thus, we and others are attempting to educate the scientific community regarding the rather unique business and intellectual property situation that surrounded aptamer technology for the last 20 years. Now that major intellectual property surrounding aptamer discovery is off-patent, we encourage potential customers to consider the many advantages of aptamers over antibodies in their new developmental work.
